My very own way with music started with a choice to learn how to play the piano, which unveiled my heart to the force of artistic expression. However, the moment of my breaking point came during the summer camp in Switzerland that really fired up my inner motivation. Among people originated from different cultures, I learned to appreciate my country and gladly share its virtues with others. Surprisingly, many had no idea about my country or its distinctive cultural texture. The feeling of disconnection from my own heritage among some of my fellow Venezuelans became more disappointing.

Certainly, this was an eye-opening moment for me as it drove my motivation to act. I, as a patriotic Venezuelan, am not prepared to let our culture die. It is rather a chance to encourage others and to revive people’s confidence and bring attention to our common history. My project is to narrow the gap between the Venezuelans at home and in abroad. In particular, I will focus on bringing together the young generation, which is an enormous one and is more disconnected from their cultural identification.
